WE WILL TELL YOU IF A BATTERY IS WORTH IT

Four things that decide it

A battery is not automatically the right next step. These are the questions we work through with you, and if the answers point the other way, we will say so.

  • What you use after dark

A battery earns its keep on the power you draw once the sun is down. If your household is empty until 7pm and then everything comes on at once, that is a strong case. If most of your load is during the day, panels alone may serve you better.

  • How much you are exporting

Surplus solar going back to the grid is the other half of the equation. A system already sending a lot back has something to store; one that barely covers daytime use does not.

  • Whether you want blackout backup

A standard grid-connected system shuts down in an outage for safety. Riding through one needs a battery and an inverter set up for it, and a decision about whether that covers a few essential circuits or the whole house.

  • What inverter you already have

Retrofitting to existing solar usually works, but it depends on the inverter. Some pair with a battery directly; others need a hybrid inverter added or replaced. We check yours before quoting, so nothing is discovered mid-install.

HOW IT WORKS

Four steps from the first phone call to a system that is running. You will know what is going on the roof, what it costs, and who is doing the work before anything is ordered.

  1. Free assessment

We look at your roof: pitch, orientation, shading and how much usable area there really is, along with your switchboard and your last few bills. Then we tell you what your place can actually take.

  2. Design and quote

A panel layout and inverter sizing built for your roof and your usage pattern, grid-connected or hybrid depending on what suits. Priced in writing, itemised, with no conditions that appear later.

  3. Install and connect

Our own crew does the work. No subcontracting. We keep you posted as it happens, and we tidy up before we leave.

  4. Commission and support

We test and commission the system, set up monitoring so you can see what it is producing, and walk you through it. After that you have our number, not a call centre's.

WHERE WE WORK

Worth Solar Group covers South-East Queensland. Coverage on the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast is deliberately partial: we work the southern and northern ends respectively rather than claiming the whole strip. If you are just outside these areas, call and ask.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Short answers. If yours is not here, call and ask.

  • We look at your last few power bills, when you actually use power, and what your roof and switchboard can take. The system is sized to that. If a smaller system does the job, we will tell you.
